This is the pattern that our group uses most often.  A cap made from any pattern is welcome.

Crazy Cappers Chemo Cap

J Hook

Rnd 1:  Ch 4, join, work 12dc into ring.  Do not join rounds.  Mark end of rounds

Rnd 2:  *2dc in each st* around (24dc)

Rnd 3:  *1dc in next st, 2dc in next st* around (36dc)

Rnd 4:  *1dc in next 2st, 2dc in next st* around (48dc)

Rnd 5:  *1dc in next 3st, 2dc in next st* around (60dc)

Rnd 6-8:  Dc in ea st around

Rnd 9-13: Sc in ea st around

Rnd 14-15: Dc in ea st around

Rnd 16: Dc in ea st around, join with sl st to beginning of rnd

Rnd 17: Add an edging (below), join.  Fasten off

Shell Edging

*3dc in first st, ch2, skip next st, sc in next st, ch2, skip next st* around

Picot Edging

Sl st in 1st st *Ch3, single in 2nd ch from hook, single back into original st, skip next st* around

You can change the look by mixing up the rows of dc and sc. 

You can use 3 rows of dc, 3 rows of sc, 3 rows of dc, 3 rows of sc, then the edging.

You can use 7 rows of dc, 3 rows of sc, then the edging.

Your can alternate dc and sc rows.  The possibilities are endless with dc and sc rows and these two edgings.
