Welcome to our Chemo Cap information site.

We all have important values and ideas, things we care about and want to share. Our ideas can change the world, one person at a time.  We want to let you know about our chemo cap program and how you can join.

Do you knit, crochet or sew?  Would you like to use this skill to help someone who has undergone chemotherapy?  We have a group that does just that and would like to invite you to join us.

A frequent side effect of chemotherapy is hair loss and there are a lot of folks out there with cold heads as a result.  We are building a workforce of craftspeople to create caps by knitting, crocheting or sewing.  These caps are distributed to hospitals, oncology offices and hospice centers so they can be readily available, free of charge, to those who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy.  To make it work, we need volunteers to help with our production.  Would you consider joining us?

We are part of a national organization called Head Huggers.  Our group is based in Columbus, Ohio.

If you would like to help, but don't knit, crochet or sew, we always welcome yarn donations.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to put a smile on the face of a chemo patient, even if just for one minute.
